Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

At the University of Westminster we encourage a culture of enterprise and entrepreneurship amongst our students and academics. We encourage our students to develop enterprising skills that will equip them to pursue their chosen career path, whether that is to set up in business on their own, to succeed in a large corporate or to work as a social entrepreneur.

We would really welcome assistance from entrepreneurial companies and individuals, please contact Alun Tlusty-Sheen.

Enterprise Club

The University's Enterprise Club (WestEE) was launched in 2008. Students can meet like-minded people and benefit from the experience of a pool of mentors to help them put their enterprising ideas into action. For more information please see www.westminster.ac.uk/enterprise.

Bright Ideas competition

The WestFocus Bright Ideas competition was launched in March 2007 to raise awareness of entrepreneurship in universities, and to uncover new business talent. The competition provides the students, from a range of disciplines, the possibility of winning one of ten 1000 prizes. It also offers advice to young entrepreneurs on developing new ideas and provides workshops on how to pitch them to potential investors.
