International Partnerships
Being located in London, WBS is ideally placed for bringing together students and staff from all over the world.
With more international companies recruiting worldwide, growing numbers of students choosing to study abroad, and with business schools building partnerships across borders and continents, national barriers are falling.
Students
Our student body is international and cosmopolitan. Gaining an international education involves encountering people from different countries and cultures, and understanding the different ways in which they deal with business issues.
Over a third of our full time students come from outside the UK, providing a truly international student population. International students have the opportunity to meet practitioners from UK businesses via guest speakers and our mentoring, work placement and internship programmes.
Our domestic students are also encouraged to interact with students from other cultures during their studies, and to develop a valuable international experience by pursuing a foreign language or studying/working abroad at one of our partner institutions.
Staff
The diversity of School staff allows multicultural approaches to both our teaching and research activities, with more than a third of our staff being drawn from abroad.
We have active teaching and research links with over 60 leading overseas universities. Many School members undertake teaching exchanges or collaborate on research projects abroad and we welcome overseas academic visitors.
In 2008 WBS hosted a successful International Week, bringing together our international partners and students in a series of seminars and workshops. Another International Week is planned for early 2010.
