Biography
Bijan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and worked as a senior auditor before joining the WBS in August 1994 as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting. For many years, he was directly involved with the management of the MBA programm. He is and has been an external examiner on a number of BA and MBA programmes.
Teaching
Bijan teaches a wide range of subjects including management accounting, financial management, corporate finance, personal financial planning, and auditing at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
In addition to being involved in the delivery of SII training courses since 2005, he also delivers training sessions to senior managers as well as regularly teaching on the residential programs for the University of Salzburg Business Schools MBA and MA in International Business & Management degrees. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the IHEC, University of Tunis.
Research
His research interest is in investigating trends and anomalies in stock market indices. He has presented a number of papers at both national and international conferences.
Consultancy and professional practice
Bijan has for many years been providing accounting, taxation and general business advice to small entities in the South of England on an adhoc basis.

- A joint paper entitled 'Optimal Portfolio Selection using Goal Programming' was presented at the First International Conference in Multi-objectives and Goal Programming Theories and Applications, 1-3 June 1994, University of Portsmouth, and submitted for publication in the proceedings of the Conference.The Paper was also presented at the BAA-ICAEW Doctoral Colloquium at the University of West of England in April 1995.
