Biography

Dr Elgammal joined Westminster Business School in 2011; he previously worked at the University of Aberdeen, Menoufyia University, and Commercial International Bank. 

Teaching

Dr Elgammal teaches personal finance and investment, international financial management, corporate finance, business finance, and introductory econometrics for finance.   

Research

Dr Elgammal's mean research interests lie in the field of empirical finance, more specifically in the relationship between macroeconomic factors and different markets anomalies. However, he has also conducted research on a variety of topics, including: The relationship between the value premium, default and leverage in international context, the relationship between the market anomalies and economic growth trying to link this relation with the current credit crunch, the asymmetric risk and market anomalies, volatility of market anomalies, and the financial detriments of the credit rating.
