Biography
Dr Charles Elad is a Reader in Accounting and Finance. He received a Masters degree in International Accounting & Financial Management, and a PhD in Accountancy, from the University of Glasgow. He teaches International Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis. He has served as a consultant to a number of international organisations and has also held competetive research grants from the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Research Committee of the University of Aberdeen, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Dr Elad has acted as a PhD examiner at the University of Aberdeen.
His publications include a book on accounting for sustainability and articles in: European Accounting Review, Management Accounting Research, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Advances in International Accounting, Advances in Public Interest Accounting, Research in Accounting in Emerging Economies, among others.
He has served as an ad hoc referee for many scholarly journals, such as: Journal of Derivatives Accounting, Critical Perspectives on Accounting; Management Accounting Research; International Journal of Accounting Literature, and Research in Accounting in Emerging Economies.
