Biography

Alex is a Senior Lecturer in Law in the Department of Finance and Business Law. In 2005 she received an LLM with distinction in International Commercial Law, and was offered a PhD Scholarship from the University of Leicester, which she completed in December 2009. Her PhD thesis involves a comparative analysis between the corporate rescue mechanisms under the insolvency laws of France Greece and the United Kingdom. She was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Leicester, where she taught Company Law and a Teaching Assistant at De Montfort University where she taught Contract Law.

Teaching

Alex teaches Company Law, Business Law and is the Module leader for Employment Law.

Research

Her main research interests are in the area of European Insolvency Law, in particular corporate rescue, and Company Law.
