Introduction
A new course for 2007 the MA TESOL is a programme which brings together practical and theoretical aspects of linguistics, teaching, training and management. The course is designed for:

Course Content

Teaching
The main mode of teaching is weekly two-hour sessions for each module, including lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical sessions and workshops. There is also independent student-directed study, including work for the Report or Dissertation.
Assessment
Assessment modes include essays, oral presentations, case studies and dissertation. There are no formal examinations.

The course is intended to enable you to progress as advanced ELT practitioners and managers. You will have the training to make significant contributions to your professional context as instructors, managers and researchers.
Entry Requirements
You are normally required to have a good first degree or equivalent. Mature candidates with demonstrable relevant work experience and relevant professional qualifications (eg CELTA, DELTA) are welcomed. You may apply for exemption from one module if you have the DELTA or the Trinity Diploma. If you did not receive your first degree in English, an IELTS Certificate with an average score of 6.5 (or equivalent) is generally required or TOEFL score of 600 (paper)/250 (computer)/ 92 with 20 in reading and writing elements (Internet).
