Clinical psychology, neurorehabilitation and some very weird things about Unilateral Spatial Neglect.
Venue
Lecture Theatre 4, Regent Street
By Dr Tom Manly, MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge
Unilateral spatial neglect is a curious consequence of brain damage in which patients can behave as if half the world has ceased to exist. I will discuss how modulators of neglect severity can tell us interesting things about the disorder and led us to discover some rather surprising things about the normal brain. I will also talk about the useful perspectives that clinical psychology can bring to neurorehabilitation.
