Length of course: 3 years full-time
This long established course combines film, video, photography, digital media and theoretical debates, and continues to break new ground in contemporary media production.
Practical instruction in a range of visual media from film and video to interactive digital media and photography encourages multi-skilling within an innovative and creative environment. Students may specialise in one or two media or forge new links between converging and cross-disciplinary media.
Course content
Practice is taught through workshop-based projects, supported by a critical theory programme. You will acquire a set of transferable skills that will equip you to enter the media and new media industries in a variety of roles.
Graduates regularly win awards and have a high employment rate within areas such as film direction, production and editing, BBC production and education, Channel 4 programming, internet design and start-up companies, photographic and video art installation; many exhibit on the international circuit.
