Every year we welcome students from every continent; from Australia via Russia to Zimbabwe, with many countries in between. Most students are in their twenties, but we usually have quite a wide range of ages as well as experience.

Whats the course like?

The course takes a global perspective; the richness and diversity of student intake means we can learn from each other about journalism in other parts of the world. Theres a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of journalism learning by doing and you will emerge from the course multi-skilled. Our media facilities are excellent, equipped with up-to-date, professional standard studio facilities, the latest software used in video and audio editing, electronic news production, online journalism and page creation. Assessment in the practice-based modules is based on journalistic assignments, and throughout the course you are encouraged to work and think independently.
