Jill Hills
Professor of Telecommunications Policy (Retired in 2007)
Professor Hills is currently conducting research into history of international communication: relationship between international and national regulation: telecoms and broadcasting communications and development. Her recent publications include The Struggle for Global Communication: The Formative Century (2002), and The Democracy Gap: The Politics of Information and Communications Technologies in the USA and Europe (1991, with S Papathanasopoulos).
Areas of Expertise
International communications, and particularly the relationship between international and domestic markets and in the regulation of telecommunications and broadcasting in the US, EU, Africa and the Far East.
