Background

I have been involved in the development and running of NT courses/professional bodies/organisations for the last 18 years. I am also an external verifier for sports therapy, complementary therapies and beauty therapy, and have travelled widely within the UK. I am an education consultant to various organisations including the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC).

I am a Senior Lecturer in nutritional therapy in the School of Integrated Health. On the BSc Honours Health Sciences: Nutritional Therapy course I lead three modules, Nutritional Therapeutics I, II, & III. I also teach on other modules including Phytochemistry, Micronutrients, Complementary Therapies, Prescribing Therapies, Dietetics and Dietary Therapy, Pharmacology, Research Methods. I am an undergraduate project supervisor.

Prior to joining Westminster University I was Vice Principal and course leader in Nutritional Therapy for the Raworth Centre.

Research Interests

I have an interest in the health food industry and cancer rehabilitation.

Current Research / Ongoing Projects

I am currently in collaboration with Prof J Antonas, Victoria University AUS, about the demographics of NT practitioners and demographics of NT patients.
I have been involved in the implementation of National Occupational Standards (NOS) and development of the NTC Core Curriculum. I am a visiting lecturer in nutrition and tissue viability at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, and a peer reviewer for the Nutrition Practitioner.
