Having had an interest in cooking since childhood Emma followed her passion and trained to become a chef. She worked in many well respected kitchens in her early twenties and then went onto complete a degree in nutritional therapy at Westminster University. She has since worked with the nutritional therapy team and is now a senior tutor, clinical supervisor and year leader.
Her interest in food and health has also lead her to work with the Pituitary Foundation and MENCAP as well as MIND and the Stuart Low Trust – running hands on workshops and cooking sessions for carers of and those with mental & physical disability.
She is now looking to begin an MSc in Health Psychology to add depth to her work with patients.
Selected Publications
Co written a weight management document for the Pituitary Foundation to help patients with a variety of pituitary disorders maintain a healthy weight.
Awards and Grants
Funded by MENCAP to run workshops discussing nutrition and healthy eating for carers of and those with Downs syndrome. Workshops run annually to the Sutton MENCAP.
