Background

Sue began her study of nutritional therapy at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) before continuing her studies at the University of Westminster on the BSc Honours Nutritional Therapy degree programme, graduating in 2001.  She went on to study for a Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Southampton, which she gained in 2002. 

 
Sue is the Module Leader for 3CTN 412 Dietary Therapy Practice and 3CTN 604 Nutrition in Society.
 
Sue is currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Sue also practices privately as a nutritional therapist.

Current Research / Ongoing Projects

  • The evidence for the effectiveness of carbohydrate-restricted diets in weight management (current research focus).
  • The relevance of our ancestral diet today (current research focus).
  • Relationship between intake of fruit and vegetables and blood pressure in the elderly (Masters project).
  • Awareness of vitamin D among the elderly (undergraduate project).
