Accepting offers
If you have been offered a place at Alexander Fleming, Harrow Hall, International House, Marylebone Hall or Wigram House, we will email you a contract and the contract terms. To accept the offer, you should sign the contract and return it to us (detailed instructions are included in the offer document). You will also need to pay the deposit.
If you have been offered a place at Student Court, you will be contacted by Apt Student Living (the company that runs the hall). Instructions on how to accept the offer will be included in the offer document.
Deadlines
It's vital that you respond by the deadline given in the offer - whether it is from the University or Apt Student Living. If you miss the deadline, your room offer will no longer be valid.
Deposits
If you accept your room offer, you will need to pay a deposit. This acts as a damage deposit on your room and will be refunded to you at the end of your contract, as long as no damage has been caused.
Waiting lists
If your application for halls has been unsuccessful, we will send you a waiting list letter, which you will receive by the dates above.
The letter will explain what your other options are, including details about partner halls and hostels, and activities we will be organising to help you find accommodation.
If a room in halls becomes available, we will get in touch with you, but it's important to make alternative accommodation plans as soon as you receive the waiting list letter.
Arriving at your hall
You will need to arrive at your hall within one week after the start date of your contract. After this time-frame, the room will be allocated to another student.
If you have already paid the rent in full, we will hold the room until you tell us otherwise. If you decide not to take up your place in hall, you must notify us as soon as possible. You will be charged for the period that we hold the room and until it has been allocated to another student. The remaining rent will be refunded to you.
